Welcome To PitStop Counselling
Hello, and welcome to PitStop Counselling.
My name is Holly May, and I am a qualified person-centred counsellor based in Melton Mowbray.
Firstly, thank you for taking the time to visit my website.
If you’re here, there is a good chance that life feels challenging at the moment, or perhaps you’re simply exploring whether counselling might be right for you.
Whatever has brought you here, I hope you find this a reassuring place to start.
Why I Created PitStop Counselling
Life can be busy, demanding and overwhelming.
We often spend so much time looking after work, family, responsibilities and other people that we rarely give ourselves the opportunity to stop and reflect on how we are really feeling.
Over time, stress, anxiety, grief, low confidence, relationship difficulties and emotional challenges can begin to build.
Sometimes we manage.
Sometimes we struggle.
And sometimes we need support.
PitStop Counselling was created to provide a safe, supportive and confidential space where people can pause, reflect and begin moving forward.
My Approach To Counselling
I work using a person-centred approach.
At its heart, person-centred counselling is built on the belief that you are the expert in your own life.
Rather than telling you what you should do, my role is to listen, understand and support you as you explore your own thoughts, feelings and experiences.
I believe that when people feel genuinely heard and accepted, meaningful change becomes possible.
Every person is unique.
That is why our work together will always be tailored to your individual needs.
Who I Work With
I support adults and young adults experiencing a range of challenges, including:
Anxiety
Stress and burnout
Low mood
Confidence and self-esteem difficulties
Relationship challenges
Grief and bereavement
Life transitions
Feelings of being stuck or overwhelmed
You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from counselling.
Many people simply want a space where they can talk openly without judgement.
