 PitStop Counselling

Everyone needs a pitstop now and then. Life can get overwhelming, and sometimes the best thing you can do is take a moment to pause and check in with yourself.

Here, you’ll find a safe, understanding space to slow down, talk things through and find your way forward. PitStop counselling understands that it is not always an easy decision to make when asking for help and showing vulnerability. Working from a person-centered approach, Holly May, the founder and Humanistic counsellor, aims to provide you with the opportunity learn more about yourself in a collaborative and non-judgmental space whilst you explore what feels necessary during this tire change.

Thanks for stopping by, I look forward to seeing you in the pits soon.

The Founder of PitStop Counselling

Hello! I am Holly May Dowdles, the face behind the helmet of Pitstop Counselling. I have had experience working with matters such as Anxiety, Childhood Trauma, Grief and other life complexities.

I am dedicated to helping anyone over the age of 18 navigate their way through life's challenges. I stand by the notion that not all people learn or think in the same way and I am keen to understand others

After participating in regular CPD, I have attended multiple courses relating to Bereavement, Gambling Awareness and Sand Tray therapy which have enhanced her knowledge in areas where others may need support. I believe that by working alongside one another you can aim towards building a relationship that is empowering and trustworthy.

Whilst working alongside me, I hope to gain a deeper understanding of what life is like from your perspective and provide you with congruence and empathy whilst you embark on your counselling journey.

I very much believe in making sure that this is a relationship to which you feel confident working in and so, before you set off on your first session she will offer you the opportunity to have a FREE 30 MINUTE PHONECALL for you both to see if if this is the right place for you to refuel, have a tyre change and hopefully get back on the tracks at your own pace.
